Put the Lake in Lake Forest Park

Give every kid a safe route to a playground

Let everyone walk to the store

My name is Josh and I'm running for Lake Forest Park City Council.

Meet Josh

I am a conservation biologist, nonprofit leader, PTA dad, neighbor, and with your support, our next city council member.

Ours is a city that understands the value of third places. I want to build more:

  • Neighborhood cafes and groceries that anyone age 5 to 95 can easily reach with a stroll or a roll,
  • Playgrounds and parks within 15 minutes of every kid and caregiver,
  • Streets that are safe for biking and walking, a game of soccer, or conversations among neighbors,

In Lake Forest Park, neighbors look out for neighbors, and that has never been more crucial. Our third child was born days after the 2024 election. I hoped to bring my daughter into a world driven by compassion and science, where we welcomed and celebrated diversity and protected the most vulnerable.

That outcome deepened my commitment to protecting our family and our community—especially our most vulnerable neighbors—using the skills from a lifetime as a leader, organizer, and advocate.

I’m running for city council to move us forward toward the world our children deserve.

Let's build a bright future. Together.
